Far from home?

Hangin' Out: The school itself is small and cozy. Our students not only study here, but come by just to hang out. After classes students are often around the school discussing travel plans or having discussions about social or political issues (in Spanish, of course).

  • Parties: Often CBA hosts parties for all language students in the community,

including those from the other schools; plenty of locals show up as well. This is a perfect way to meet other people and to learn new moves on the dance floor. Salsa anyone?

Viernes Cultural: Every Friday we invite our students to participate in Viernes Cultural, in which local artists present their poetry, music, literature and art. You will have the opportunity to meet local artists and to purchase their paintings and books. It is a great opportunity to get involved with Xela's artist community.

Great Staff:
We are always smiling and we enjoy discussions about Latin America, including controversial issues. Additionally, our director, Hugo, always has an entertaining story for anyone who'll listen.

Far from home? We take care: Our students are important to us. We're not just here to help you with learning a new language. Since you might be quite far away from home, we have a genuine interest in making sure that you're okay and taken care of.
