You might ask what makes us different from other language schools. Similar to other schools, we provide the following:
What we think distinguishes us, however, is the warm, relaxed atmosphere at our school and our strong involvement in our community. Non profit and locally run! As a non-profit organization run by local Guatemalans we accept responsibility for our community. All profits (10% of your tuition) are used to fund local social and economic projects. One of our most worthy relates to the Xela Street Kids: we started a shelter for many destitute children living in our streets. Most dedicated to social projects. We run a vacation program for children and free poetry classes and art classes for young artists. We have just obtained funding for the Japanese Embassy to construct a school for disadvantaged children in Xela. Our director Hugo Rosales is the president of Foro Local Permenente de Desorollo de Turismo de Quetzaltenango. You can view our projects at: http://www.turismoquetzaltenango.org. Cultural Center - Our school also servers as a cultural center with weekly art exhibitions and live poetry, music and literature recitals by local artists. In this way we also help the local artist community.
We are proud of our commitment to our community and encourage you to join us!
